We work closely with individuals who seek changes in their divorce judgments, including requests for child custody, visitation and child support modification.

Child Custody Modification

Many of the requests that we see to modify visitation agreements and child custody orders result from move-aways, where one parent decides to move to accept a new job, to enter into a new domestic relationship, or to otherwise improve his or her quality of life. In addition, modification requests may stem from disputes between the custodial parent and the non-custodial parents, or from changes in the domestic situation of the custodial parent, such as a shift change at work or the desire of the child to spend more time with the non-custodial parent.

It's important to understand that the court will put a priority on what is best for the child. We will zealously represent your interests, because that is our ethical duty. We will also help you focus on solutions that promote the well-being of your children.

Child Support Modification

Under Idaho law, you can request child support modification if there has been a substantial and material change in your circumstances. If you have been laid off or terminated from your employment, or if you have been forced to take a new job at less pay, we can help you request a child support modification. Conversely, if you are the custodial parent and your ex-spouse's income has increased dramatically, we can help you request an increase in support. In all instances, the court will make its determination with an emphasis on the best interests of your children.
